And then…

andthentherewere6.jpg

And then there were 6. We recently found out that we are expecting baby # 4! Through a range of emotions, there is this excitement behind the thought that it just keeps getting better. Bryan and I would joke about having a house full of kids, and apparently Yahweh is listening. I believe I’m most thrilled about this pregnancy being even more natural than my last. We have been eating clean since our little girl was born, but not during my pregnancy with her. By the time we conceived our baby boy, we were eating clean and beginning to make the necessary changes to cleaning with (and using) better home and healthcare products. Even then, not during my pregnancy with him. Now… this pregnancy, we are eating clean, using toxic-free cleaning products, plant-based bath and body products, and using pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils and supplements – all from Young Living.

There’s no doubt that you will see a lot about my pregnancy, and I definitely plan on vlogging a lot of it too. I’m so amazed how our Creator King knits and forms our babies in our womb. Such a precious and delicate time with every moment of it being in His control, plan, and design. These moments in life also bring me closer to Yahweh. It’s some of our most intimate time together. The works of His hand are indeed marvelous.

I’m still pretty early on, so I wanted to share what I plan to start doing immediately, and for the next 6-8 weeks (which will put me right at the second trimester). Already in the works is healthy eating. My snacks consist of gluten free nut crisp bars, fresh fruits, and smoothies. Occasionally I’ll have some cookies. My main course meals are comprised of Pinterest finds that are all-in-all hitting every food group. I recently started cooking with quinoa, and adding flax seed to our smoothies and shakes.

As for Young Living products and supplements… on a daily basis I drink water that is always infused with some kind of citrus oil, be it lemon, orange, grapefruit, citrus fresh, or lime. I also love to put stress away in my water. On our next Essential Rewards order, we have Ningxia Red, K & B tincture, and gentle baby essential oil coming specifically for me. Bryan loves Ningxia Red so I will have to share that. But, with some of the most important development happening during this first trimester – supporting me and baby’s overall health and wellness is vital.

NingXiaNingxia Red benefits include support for energy levels, normal cellular function, and whole-body and normal eye health. A daily shot of 2–4 ounces will help support overall wellness with powerful antioxidants. K & B is formulated to nutritionally support normal kidney and bladder health. It contains extracts of juniper berries, which enhance the body’s efforts to maintain proper fluid balance; parsley, which supports kidney and bladder function and aids overall urinary health. We know how important that is for Mom and Baby. Besides these supplements, the following essential oils will be my best friend: gentle baby, any citrus oil (I already drink on a daily basis), lavender (use quite often with our other kiddos), and frankincense ( I already use daily as a moisturizer).

Supplements and oils that I am going to consider adding to my preggo regimen are:

  • Multigreens – it is a nutritious chlorophyll formula designed to boost vitality by working with the glandular, nervous, and circulatory systems. Chlorophyll also helps with iron levels.
  • Inner Defense – promotes healthy respiratory function, and immune support.
  • Tranquil roll-on
  • Valor II (since Valor is still not available)

If you are interested in knowing the personal care products I currently use, they are:

  • Thieves aromabright toothpaste
  • Thieves mouthwash
  • Thieves dental floss
  • Lemon Sandalwood body soap
  • Lavender mint conditioner
  • Tea Tree, Frankincense, and Cedarwood as part of my hair care regimen

Here’s to a healthy, happy, and blessed pregnancy!

*Please keep in mind that I am only sharing my personal pregnancy journey. The foods, products, and supplements that I have chosen to take are in no way suggestions for other pregnant women to do the same. I will always suggest that women become advocates for their own health, and do the necessary research to get the knowledge and better understanding of using anything on and in their bodies.

Steps toward Healing the Home

Moment of honesty here…. I haven’t always been into health and wellness, let alone green cleaning or plant-based anything. I come from a background of “it’s not clean unless you smell it”. The cleaning smells of my childhood consisted of bleach, ammonia, more bleach, 409, lime/rust removers, and other toxic products that I can’t remember the name of. Either way, this is what I eventually grew up and used to clean my home. It was more recent than not when I began using products that were safe for me, my family, and our home in general. What pushed me over the edge was learning how most homes are up to five times more toxic inside than the outside air. That’s alarming and mind boggling at the same time.

But where was I going to start? We had recently (within the last year and a half) started dabbling with essential oils, but where was I going to find healthier cleaning products… better bath and body products…. products I could actually trust. And that’s when the other side of Young Living came to light. I started looking into ingredients of products I was currently using, comparing them with other products… researching their harmful effects, and quickly gained a pretty long no-no list. This meant throwing out majority of our cleaning products, bath products, body products, and supplements. Even our over-the-counter vitamins were pumped with non-beneficial ingredients that were doing more harm than good (I’ll save that for another post).

Needless to say, being the natural planner and organizer that I am, I needed  way to get started on the pathway to totally healing my home and my family of damage that was caused by toxic, chemically pumped products. The first step I took was doing ingredient research and reading the damaging side-effects of products for myself. In this day and age, it may be easy to take someone’s word for it, but I’d rather do the research and see it for myself. Most information is not hidden, and can be found at the click of a mouse.

The second step I took was getting all the NO-NO products out of our home. If they were not there, I could not use them. I sure was not going to go out and buy them again. Also involved in this step was making a list of new products I wanted to use in replacement of the toxic products I was using before. This was the easy part. Instead of Tide and Xtra laundry soap, I wrote down Thieves laundry soap. Instead of Dawn dish soap, I wrote down Thieves dish soap. Instead of Lysol, Pinesol, Bleach, Mr. Clean, and Ammonia – I wrote down Thieves household cleaner. I began to see instant savings because I was going to be buying less products.

thieveskitchenlaundry.jpg

Something else that worked in my favor is being a Wholesale Member with Young Living. Building a business aside (because that’s totally optional), I receive a 24% discount. Instead of doing the coupon thing (as I would when purchasing those old products), I simply enjoy the benefits and rewards of Young Living’s Essential Rewards program. I’m able to purchase the products I want while receiving 20% back immediately, which can then be used on purchasing more products. And that’s not even the most you can get back. You can actually get up to 25% back on your Essential Rewards purchases! How generous is that?!?!

I also enjoy the benefit of ordering and having products shipped straight to me. It’s so convenient. Now, the next step is mapping out a budget and how often to purchase my replacement products. This can be different for everyone. Some people stock up, purchasing bundles at a time. I have taken the other route, and purchase on what I call a tri-monthly rotating basis. Here’s an example of how I would purchase my replacement products (dates are not exact):

January: Kidscents toothpaste, Thieves Aromabright toothpaste, Thieves mouthwash, thievesoral.jpg Thieves dental floss (and then whatever oils and supplements we want/need)
February: Thieves laundry soap, Thieves dish soap, Thieves household cleaner, Lavender Mint conditioner (and whatever essential oils and supplements we need)
March: oils and supplements needed, plus anything we want to try
April: most of what was purchased for January
May: most of what’s on February’s order
June: same as March

and so on… Hopefully that makes sense. What you see above is what we purchase on a $100 a month budget. This is what works for us. If you are a bundle buyer, you may purchase 2-3 quantities of just one or two products. After a good six months, you’ll have a nice big stock of products that you won’t have to purchase for possibly another 6 months.

I once heard it said that if we are not healing our homes of the toxic environment induced by chemical pumped products…. then it makes it really hard to physically heal our bodies. Using amazing products such as Young Living is not a cure all… just like only eating healthier doesn’t fix all. Nope. It takes a collection of good choices across the board. Healthy eating, cleaning with pure products, healthy cooking, using natural bath and body products, on top of a little exercise – and that, friends, breeds health above the wellness line.

What steps have you taken to start using products that are good for you and your family? If you knew that your wellness depended on it – would you give Young Living a try?

What do you do when your plan doesn’t work?

The question never really has been when will my plan not work? Nope. The question is what do you do when your plan doesn’t work? Of course we don’t go into planning with hopes that it will fail, or end up flushed down the toilet with the little’s last poop. But let’s be real here… there are times, in all areas of life, when our plans simply don’t work. And that’s okay.

I want to talk about this because it is one of the single most disruptions that cause us to second guess ourselves… sending us into a spiral of what-if thoughts and comparison games. I’m a homeschooling Mom who also keeps two other children during the week (in addition to my own 3), a co-partner in our network marketing business, a blogger, and an author – so you can imagine the level of planning and organizing that goes into making all of that work cohesively. And make no mistake, there is lots.

But what do I do when my plans don’t work?

I’d be lying if I didn’t admit there are times that broken, smashed, or poorly made plans sent me into a panic attack, accompanied with mixed emotions, topped off with I’m done! Because yes, that happens. However, I’ve learned a few things that help keep what sanity I do have left. And that, my friend, is what I want to share with you. Perhaps you’re already doing these, or didn’t even think to do it… either way, I hope it helps alleviate any stress that broken plans can bring.

Realize from the start that plans can be changed. Now, there is only one person I know who doesn’t change, and that’s God. And since I’m not Him, I have to find comfort in the possibility of plans changing. Having this mindset from the beginning actually cushions the fall of if and when plans must change. For example, I may have planned something specific for a homeschool lesson this week. Circumstances happened, and boom – plans changed. In my old mentality, I’d cause a fuss over something not staying the way I planned it. Not any more. I now plan with the understanding that plans can change.

Having back up is nice, but going with the flow is awesome. For the super-organized and super-planner… they may have 2-3 back ups just in case a plan falls through. But when it comes to homeschooling and cooking – that ain’t me. Not saying it won’t ever be me, but right now in those areas – that. ain’t. me. I’ll tell you what is all of me though… going with the flow. This happens so much ’til I’ve made it part of my planning. I’ll write down “start spring unit this week, and go with the flow”. Sometimes that flow is doing nothing at all. Other times, it’s improvising in a unique way. Either way, go with the flow.

A little can be a lot. It’s funny, especially homeschooling, how we feel the need to fill up an entire calendar worth of school work, school activities, the best curriculum schedule, exact times to do this or that, and so on. Placing expectation on top of expectation, and then expecting to actually get it all done. Some people may only have one child they are homeschooling, but the average homeschooling family has 3+ kiddos. If there were ever a time to believe a little can be a lot, it’s now! The moment I stopped trying to pack my plans with all kinds of fancy details, DIYs, and glitter… I could actually relax. Now, I’m not so focused on how much more than the what. Sometimes, a worksheet is equivalent to a book report. Other times, the book report is needed instead of a simple worksheet.

Get in the habit of taking the negative thoughts captive. This right here. This. I believe this is the hardest for anybody. It’s so easy to say, and super easy to tell others to do it… but when it’s you, your life, your problems and issues – nahhh, not so much. It then becomes this battle of the mind, which likes to play tricks on you and leave you thinking why? Just because the school week didn’t go as planned doesn’t mean you’re a horrible person who shouldn’t be teaching her child. Just because business was slow that week doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be doing your business. Just because you ate out one extra time last week doesn’t mean you need to frantically browse Pinterest for easier meals to cook. No, friend. It simply means there are areas that could use a little adjusting, and maybe a little more attention. Nothing to get depressed, anxious, or out of whack about.

There can be liberty in not planning so much. I’m not telling you to not plan at all because it depends on what it is. What I’m saying is there are times when having no plans is actually liberating. Allowing things to happen as they go can be fun. Of course I can’t let the kids free play, or do what they want for too long before someone ends up hurt or upset. But there are some days I wake up and had this and that planned for homeschool, and we end up playing outside for two hours. What do I do with the plans I had? Depending on what it is, we do it later – or, they get tossed! No hard feelings, because when it comes down to it, they may have learned more in the two hours playing outside than they would have with four hours of focused learning.

It’s okay to be a plan snatcher. Yep, you read it right. Sometimes, you may just need to snatch plans from someone else. Perhaps your friend tried something that worked amazing for her family. Ask her about it, and try it with yours. Pinterest, YouTube, Google, and so on are breeding grounds for plan-snatching. Why? Because people just like you and me are doing the same things we are doing, and most likely wanting the same results…. so…. all else fails, talk to other people and see what they’re doing, what they’re using, how they’re doing it, and so on.

Well, friend. I hope you feel somewhat better about what to do when your plans don’t work. Just don’t stress. And don’t think any lesser of yourself. You are awesome. You are amazing. You are wonderful. And you are needed. And remember, whatever you do, submit it all to God. Pray over your plans. Pray over your visions. And be okay with how things turn out.

Under Construction

You know what I realized? I have three, yes THREE, different blogs! Aaahhh! While I haven’t been blogging as much as before, I still want the convenience for myself, and others who follow my blog(s) the ability to click on one site and get all things that I offer.

Needless to say…. this is going to take some work, and some time. Until further notice, all three blogs will still be available to view. I’ll keep you updated on progress, when other blogs are no longer available, and the grande finale finish of the merge!

Thanks so much for your patience!!

New Oily Book Release

This was one of the hardest secrets I’ve had to keep in a loooong time! Back in November, I had the great idea to put together a book for organizing and planning my oily collection, future purchases, family member profiles, favorite go-to recipes, and so on. At the time, all of these things were kept on individual pieces of paper, Pinterest pins, scrap paper, and notebooks. That was a little unorganized for my taste… so I set out on this venture of making this book for myself. I heard a voice tell me to make it a book available for others to purchase as well.

BookCoverImageFast forward to last month… the book was complete and ready for print. That part happened waaaay faster than I originally anticipated, but I’m glad! I can finally say that My Oily Everything Book is now available for purchase on Amazon, our Square Store, CreateSpace eStore, and by me personally (for locals). I’m happy with the way it turned out, and I know you will be too!

If you purchase it through Amazon, please do me a favor and leave a review. I’d like to know how I can possibly make this book better in the future! In the meantime, I’m also giving a copy of My Oily Everything Book to new Wholesale Members who sign up with our team. It is the perfect gift in helping you get started with your oily journey. It’s not geared toward a specific company, and doesn’t have recipes already in it. It’s a blueprint for you to use however you see fit…. using whatever brand oils and oil-infused products of your choice!

Thanks so much for your support!!!

The Season of Renewal

I look around my living room, and I see a theme that signifies renewal. I have the tree monogram that almost touches the ceiling. Wall decor with flowers, vines, and words “love” and “live well”. Not to mention, the countless amounts of scripture on little square pieces of paper that speak of fruit, blessings, possibilities, trust, and so on. I guess you could say, we live in a renewed type of environment and mindset.

It’s funny though. Because not until recently did I really consider taking the seasons of nature and align them with my life to the point of seeing it personally. I can look back and surely think of winter moments, where things seemed cold and dead. Or the fall moments, where we experienced amazing harvest. Now, we’re coming upon spring. The season where trees bring forth their leaves. The ground gives way to flowers. And the bugs (not matter how pesky), come back out to play.

So what does this mean for us? Well, it can mean a number of things. For me personally, I’m taking some time to plan for the growth of our business. I’m meditating on ways that I can be a better wife and mother. I want to be renewed in my spirit, my health, and my wealth. What areas in your life need renewing? I’d love to hear about it!

Just Say No… to Bugs!

Okay, I didn’t think I’d be posting this article so soon….because, well…technically it’s still winter. It hasn’t felt much like winter; but according to the calendar, the first day of Spring isn’t until March 20th!

What drove me to write this post today is because this week, we’re supposed to have weather peaking the low to mid 70s. Yes, you read that right – 70s….in western Kentucky….in February. Excuse me while I pick my mouth up off the floor. With this warm weather will come all the critters that would have normally gone deep into the ground, and/or been frozen off from real winter weather. In our environment’s case, it hasn’t truly gotten, nor stayed, cold enough for either to happen.

Needless to say, I’ve pulled out my notebook where I write all my oily go-to, DIY concoctions…. hit Pinterest, and am preparing to whip some things up to naturally ward of the anticipating pests – mosquitos, ants, spiders, and bugs in general. And, I want to share my findings and hacks with you. So grab your notebook and jot these down:

First, let’s note what bugs and insects can’t stand:

  • Citronella
  • Cloves
  • Eucalyptus
  • Geranium
  • Lavender
  • Rosemary
  • Mint
  • Garlic
  • Bay leaves
  • Peppermint
  • Cinnamon (and cinnamon sticks)
  • Bay

Some of the most natural ways to get a few of the mentioned above are:

  • Have an indoor herb and spice garden.
  • Plant flowers, such as geranium and lavender, around the foundation of your home.

When it comes to using essential oils, you’ll want to make sure you’re using a pure grade oil that offers optimal potency. I use, and suggest, Young Living essential oils.

Now, to be fair and honest, I can’t take credit for the following recipes. I snagged them from Pinterest and blogs of other oily sisters which I’ll notate at the end. I have no interest in reinventing the wheel, only making slight adjustments to suite my family’s individual needs. I always suggest that you become an advocate for your own health, and do the same.

Here are some of my go-to, tried-and-true concoctions to ward off flying and crawling pests:

(I use 2oz glass spray bottles. Modify recipes according to the size of bottle you prefer.)

  • Mosquito repellent- 2 drops each of Eucalyptus, Citronella, and Geranium. Then top it off with distilled water.
  • Fly repellent- 5-7 drops of peppermint essential oil (occasionally I’ll even add a couple drops of spearmint) and top off with distilled water.
  • Spider repellent- same as fly repellent. For a more potent punch, place a couple drops on a cotton ball and place around window and door frames, corners, small cracks, and in the bathroom.
  • Ant repellent- cinnamon sticks can be placed in a cute little holder and put on countertops. Ants also hate garlic and mint. They also leave a scented trail to get back to their food supply, so use a vinegar and water spray to clean where they were spotted.
  • Basil bug repellent- 3-5 drops of basil essential oil topped off with distilled water.

There is a level of caution and safety when using these repellents around small children. While they are natural repellents, and way better than any store bought blend, please use your best judgment when applying to or around children.

One of my oily sisters has an amazing blog post that highlights essential oils that are okay, and not so okay, for children – even broken down to age. Here’s a sample of what you’ll find on her post (referenced below):

Isn’t this chart amazing??!! She also has recipes available as a free printable, with labels even!!

I can testify that these work. We went camping for Sukkot last October and I made sure to have everything listed above. We did not have one problem with bugs and insects, down to our 8 month old at the time! As I mentioned before, I have become such an advocate for health and wellness, and doing as much as I can in the most natural ways. I want this for you too.

Let’s Talk Prevention

I’ve been so shocked at the amount of people that have gotten sick recently….. all with a similar strand of what seems to be influenza (flu). It prompted me to hop on Facebook live yesterday and share some easy things I do with my family on a daily basis to help keep our immune systems boosted and ultimately live above the wellness line.

It’s been said for years that if we don’t invest in our health today, we will undoubtedly invest in our sickness tomorrow. I didn’t realize I was on that other end of investing in sickness until I began living a lifestyle of wellness. And it, indeed, is a lifestyle. Looking back, I understand why it was difficult to stay on a diet, or purchase the right kinds of food and product…. I had not made the long haul transformation in my mind. Instead, I settled for temporary and quick fixes, all which most always ended with negative outcomes.

So the change had to happen deep within in order for it to manifest out to a permanent change. And it did. My husband and I were both convicted by Yahweh to take a good look at how we were treating our temples…. what we were putting on them, in them, and around them – not to mention, what we were teaching our children! And the change began. I’d be lying if I said it was a quick and easy change, because it wasn’t.It started with doing away with certain foods, particularly the ones considered unclean per  Leviticus 11. That was the toughest step, but made easier by the comfort and willingness behind the act of obedience.
The next hardest move was understanding how  we were going to afford such a lifestyle. You see, we were not trained or conditioned, if you will, to budget properly. Instead of understanding and applying the replacement theology, like most people, we tried to function by fueling both lifestyles…..the toxic and the clean. I still wanted to use bleach and spic and span while using essential oils. I’m here to tell ya that THAT can get pretty pricey.

What’s the answer? Set your big goal on being a chemical and toxic free family, in all areas. Then, take it one step at a time, one area at a time. A Facebook live I did yesterday morning was about green cleaning. That’s just one area. And it’s a great place to start.

What I want to touch most on now is what I do to keep my family well, especially in the midst of a sickness epidemic. It’s so important to me, especially being a no-vax, no-pharma family, to utilize every bit of natural remedies and regimens as possible. So, first, I start with making sure we’re getting enough rest. Our bodies need it. It thrives from it, and our Creator King even rested! Our bodies can only function so long without rest before it breaks and even shuts down.

I also make sure we are drinking plenty of fluids, juices, and vitamin rich smoothies. I promised I’d share some recipes, so here ya go.

I personally don’t usually add water and ice to my smoothies but keep the liquid base to milk, yogurt, or a juice. I do a lot of eyeballing and whatever sounds good. And it always turns out to be a hit. So just a little advice, don’t complicate it and have fun!

I’m big on honey and lemon too. We are blessed to be able to get local honey, and I’m always putting it in or on something…. cereal, toast, bagels, in my tonic drinks, and so on! As for lemon, we use Young Living’s lemon vitality. A drop in a cup of water a day and we’re good! Here’s a good winter wellness tea recipe!

I also sanitize, but not overboard. It’s important to keep the good bacteria in the body to do what it does! However, something that many of us forget to sanitize is our cell phones. With the amount of time those things are in our hands or on our faces, it’d probably be a good idea to wipe it down daily!

And last but not least, we embrace essential oils and the botanical blessings that they are. I’m always doing research and finding out new ways to use them, the chemistry behind them, and the history of how they were used in biblical times. It’s so neat to get into that side of them! Not to mention, becoming a wholesale member with Young Living has helped make our transition to living clean A LOT easier because they have over 500 products that are ALL plant based and all natural. I’m not only able to get a discount, but also get cash back, free product, and a residual income because of the business opportunity! It’s a win, win, WIN!

Just to give you an idea of what we currently use from YL: essential oils, conditioner, toothpaste, mouthwash, laundry soap, dish soap, body soap, vitamins, supplements, and probiotics. We still have a few more products that we’re replacing with Young Living. And check out some of what you can support with just the premium starter kit alone –

And last but not least, I’d like to leave you with this:

Make your Oils Last while Detoxifying your Home

I get numerous messages asking what oils can be used to clean this or what oils can be used to sanitize that, so I wanted to take a moment and share my life-hacks using essential oils from my Young Living premium starter kit. Grab your notebook and jot these down! These will save you time and money while making your home a chemical-free environment!

  • Room & Linen Spray

Ingredients: distilled water, witch hazel, essential oils of choice (I personally love lemon, lavender, purification, and/or stress away), and one spray bottle (preferably glass or aluminum)

I use a 2oz glass bottle, and it usually lasts me at least 2-3 weeks. I use 3 parts water, 1 part witch hazel and then top it off with 3-5 drops of the essential oil of choice.  That’s it! Shake well before each use, and 2-3 sprays does the trick!

  • All-purpose Cleaner

Ingredients: distilled water and essential oils of choice. I also use two capfuls of my Thieves Household Cleaner, but if you don’t have that yet, that’s totally okay!

I use an industrial-grade plastic spray bottle for this one. I fill it to the bottom of the neck with distilled water,  then add 8 to 10 drops of thieves, lemon, and sometimes purification essential oils. I also add two caps of the household cleaner. This will last me a month for sure. I use this to clean everything from the bathroom to dishes when I’m only washing a glass or two. No need to run dish water for just a few, right?

  • Window & Glass Cleaner

Ingredients: distilled water, vinegar, lemon essential oil

Depending on how much you want to make will determine the kind of bottle you use. I use a 2oz glass bottle because I’m only cleaning windows and mirrors about once a week. I fill my bottle with three parts distilled water, and one part vinegar, then add about 3 drops of lemon essential oil.

  • Wood Polish & Cleaner

Ingredients: distilled water, olive oil, witch hazel, vinegar (optional), and lemon essential oil

Again, for this mixture, I use one of my 2oz glass spray bottles. I fill it half way with distilled water, add a small part of witch hazel, a TBSP or so of olive oil and vinegar, and then 3-5 drops of lemon essential oil. Give it a good shake before each use. Do a spot check before using it on a large wooden surface. This also lasts me a good month because I don’t have much wood in our home.

  • Where I purchase other ingredients and supplies.

I purchase my witch hazel, distilled water, and vinegar from Wal-Mart, the Dollar Store, or any place I can catch a good deal. My olive oil usually comes from Aldi. I get our 2oz glass spray bottles from Abundant Health 4 U or Amazon. Aluminum and industrial-grade bottles can be purchaded at the Dollar Tree!

Do you see how much money we’ve saved…. how much better this is for our health…. how much cleaner our air is from using chemical-free products??? There are so many ways to use your Premium Starter Kit, and this just scratches the surface!

Easy Peasy Swaps for Healthy Eating

Changing your diet doesn’t have to be overwhelming or stressful. As with anything in life, I always recommend taking small steps. And keep moving forward. When it comes to changing your diet, you definitely want to ease into it. I’ve heard numerous stories of people having some pretty painful side-effects, when in all actuality, they simply shocked their body. Below, you’ll find some easy peasy ways to still enjoy your old favorite recipes with cleaner, healthier ingredients that will leave you free of questions.

Let’s talk flour. If you want healthy, look past the white flour. Gary’s True Grit Einkorn Flour contains unhybridized einkorn grain berries that have been milled and packaged for use in your favorite recipes. A useful and easy-to-follow cookbook is also included.

Okay, if you’re still hanging on to processed sugars, serve them an eviction notice and let them know they’re not welcome anymore. Swap them for an all-natural sweetener such as Young Living’s Yacon Syrup. This is an alternate sweetener made from the yacon root, and has a low glycemic index, making it a perfect substitute in recipes calling for refined sugars or artificial sweeteners. Use it like honey in beverages, cereal, cooking, baking, and other recipes. Young Living’s Blue Agave is another great alternative to refined table sugar and artificial sweeteners.

Looking for a healthier syrup to go with Einkorn pancake and waffle mix? You’ll definitely want to try Gary’s True Grit Ningxia Berry Syrup. This all-purpose syrup combines naturally delicuous ingredients with pure Orange and Lemon essential oils to create the perfect complement to your pancakes and waffles.
